Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 2 cups sugar
• 4 eggs
• 3/4 cup cocoa powder
• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Melt butter, stir in sugar
3. Beat in eggs one at a time
4. Mix in cocoa, flour, salt, and vanilla
5. Fold in chocolate chips if using
6. Pour into greased 9x13 pan
7. Bake 25-30 minutes
8. Don't overbake - should be slightly underdone
9. Cool before cutting
